School Conducts Emergency Evacuation Drill
Each year, the Schenevus Central School Emergency Management Team, in cooperation with local police, fire department and emergency services, holds several drills as a part of our emergency preparedness efforts. These drills include fire drill evacuations, bus drills, campus evacuation drills, hold-in-place drills, lockout drills, and lockdown drills.
Today, October 3rd, we conducted a walking evacuation drill. During the drill all staff and students practice evacuating the campus by walking to an off site location. Students were notified that it was a drill and reviewed procedures with their teachers to prepare.
Ensuring children’s safety, health, and happiness is at the core of what we do; we will continue our work diligently. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
